PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF PENDING BOND ORDINANCE AND SUMMARY
The bond ordinance, the summary terms of which are included herein, was introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Hudson, State of New Jersey, on May 14, 2026. It will be further considered for final passage, after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners to be held at the County Administration Annex, 567 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, First Floor New Jersey 07306 on May 28, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. Information regarding remote access to the meeting may be found on the County’s website at https://www.hcnj.us/countycommissioners/2026-meeting-dates-and-agendas/. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours at the Office of the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners for the members of the general public who shall request the same. The summary of the terms of such bond ordinance follows:
Title:BOND ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR VARIOUS 2026 PARK IMPROVEMENTS BY AND IN THE COUNTY OF HUDSON, STATE OF NEW JERSEY; APPROPRIATING $23,811,342 THEREFOR (INCLUDING A $750,000 GRANT RECEIVED OR EXPECTED TO BE RECEIVED FROM THE HUDSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE TRUST FUND) AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $21,963,182 BONDS OR NOTES TO FINANCE PART OF THE COST THEREOF
Purpose(s):The bond ordinance provides for Various 2026 Park Improvements, including but not limited to, improvements to Lincoln Park, JJ Braddock Park, Columbus Park, Stephen R. Gregg Park, Washington Park, Mercer Park, Laurel Hill Park, Viaduct Park, various County parks, and the acquisition of equipment for use by the Parks Department, as more particularly described on a list on file with the Department of Finance and Administration
