PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF PENDING LEASE ORDINANCE AND SUMMARY
The lease ordinance, the summary terms of which are included herein, was introduced and passed upon first reading at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Hudson, State of New Jersey, on August 13, 2026. It will be further considered for final passage, after public hearing thereon, at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners to be held at the County Administration Annex, 567 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, First Floor, New Jersey 07306 on September 10, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. Information regarding remote access to the meeting may be found on the County’s website at https://www.hcnj.us/countycommissioners/2026-meeting-dates-and-agendas/. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting, copies of the full lease ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours, at the Office of the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners for the members of the general public who shall request the same. The summary of the terms of such lease ordinance follows:
Title: AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF HUDSON, STATE OF NEW JERSEY AMENDING LEASE ORDINANCE NUMBER 193-3-2016 FINALLY ADOPTED ON MARCH 24, 2016 TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE ENTERING INTO, EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF AN AMENDMENT TO COUNTY LEASES, AS APPLICABLE, INCLUDING AN AMENDMENT TO A LEASE WITH THE HUDSON COUNTY IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY (THE “AUTHORITY”) TO AMEND THE COUNTY’S RENT PAYMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE REFUNDING OF THE AUTHORITY’S COUNTY SECURED LEASE REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 2016 (HUDSON COUNTY VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL SCHOOLS PROJECT) THROUGH THE ISSUANCE OF COUNTY SECURED LEASE REVENUE REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES 2026 (HUDSON COUNTY VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL SCHOOLS PROJECT) OF THE HUDSON COUNTY IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY
Purpose(s): Amending Lease Ordinance 193-3-2016 Adopted by the County of Hudson on March 24, 2016 to Approve and Authorize the Entering into, Execution and Delivery of Amended County Leases, Including an Amended Lease 3 with the Hudson County Improvement Authority (the “Authority”) to Amend the County’s Rent Payments in Connection with the Refunding of the Authority’s County Secured Lease Revenue Bonds, Series 2016 (Hudson County Vocational-Technical Schools Project) through the Issuance by the Authority of County Secured Lease Revenue Refunding Bonds, Series 2026 (Hudson County Vocational-Technical Schools Project).
