Projects

Workforce Development

Hudson County Community College is providing a workforce development training program focused on green infrastructure installation and maintenance. Courses are led by a qualified instructor to provide training on green infrastructure practices for Hudson County residents with limited career opportunities looking to enter the green jobs market.
Green infrastructure helps to control and reduce flooding in our neighborhoods during heavy rain events. This program will help to ensure Hudson County is able to meet stormwater management demands through innovative green infrastructure solutions.

Job Placement

HCCC helps connect residents to the One Stop Career Center to assist in job placement and will leverage its own network of public and private employers to proactively identify work opportunities for graduates of the green infrastructure training course. The expected results include 90 program graduates who have attained a nationally recognized green infrastructure certification that will enhance workforce capacity to construct green infrastructure around the county.
