SCHEDULING ANNUAL RE-ORGANIZATION MEETING OF THE HUDSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
MONDAY, JANUARY 4, 2021

             WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is required to conduct an Annual Re-Organization Meeting pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:41A-39 and Chapter 231, Public Laws of 1975.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners, which will be known as the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Hudson as of January 1, 2021, that:

  1. This Board shall hold its Annual Re-Organization Meeting on Monday, January 4, 2021, at 4:00 p.m., in the County Commissioners’ Chamber, 567 Pavonia Avenue, 1st Floor, Jersey City, New Jersey 07306.
  2. The Clerk of this Board shall disseminate notice of said ceremony and meeting, pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Law of 1975.
  3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
RE-ORGANIZATION MEETING OF THE HUDSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, JANUARY 4, 2021, 4 PM, TO BE HELD IN-PERSON AND VIA THE ZOOM VIRTUAL MEETING SERVICE

In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq., due to the State of Emergency regarding COVID-19, the Re-Organization Meeting of the Hudson County Board of County Commissioners scheduled for Monday, January 4, 2021 at 4:00 pm will be conducted in-person and via the Zoom virtual meeting service at the scheduled date and time. The  Commissioners’ Chamber located at 567 Pavonia Avenue, 1st Floor, Jersey City, will be limited to 25 persons for the meeting.

“Zoom Cloud Meetings” is the name of the app. Please download the app on a computer or mobile device and use the following Meeting ID: 851 2777 8470. Alternatively, members of the public can visit the following link and join the meeting via Video Conference: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85127778470.Members of the public can also join by telephone by dialing 1 929 436 2866 and entering the Meeting ID number 851 2777 8470.

Video functionality will only be turned on for County Commissioners and for County officials and staff as needed. If you are a member of the public and wish to participate in the public portions of the meeting, you must follow the following instructions to join the virtual meeting via Zoom Audio:

  1. Join the meeting using Zoom Audio. Participants can “raise their hand” with an icon.
  2. All microphones of public speakers will be muted except during the public portions of the meeting. When you hear your name announced during the public portions of the meeting, you may address the Commissioners. After a speaker’s time expires, that individual’s microphone will be muted to allow other speakers the opportunity to address the Commissioners.

Only members of the public using Zoom Audio will be able to participate during the public portions. Members of the public will not be able to speak in the public portions if using the Video Conference option or telephone number option.

Members of the public may submit written comments to the Clerk of the Board by electronic mail, asantos@hcnj.us, or by U.S. Mail to Alberto Santos, 567 Pavonia Avenue, 1st Floor, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Written comments must be received at least one hour prior to the scheduled start of a Regular Meeting of the Board.
