MEETING NOTICES

RESUMING VIRTUAL MEETINGS OF THE HUDSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AS OF JANUARY 11, 2022

 WHEREAS, on June 24, 2021, the Board adopted Resolution 368-6-2021 which authorized the resumption of in-person meetings of the Board in the Board’s chambers beginning with the Caucus Meeting of September 7, 2021 and also authorized the discontinuance of virtual meeting platforms for Board meetings as of the Caucus Meeting of September 7, 2021; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Board to discontinue in-person meetings of the Board and to close the Board’s chambers until such time when the chambers may be safely reopened for in-person participation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Hudson County Board of County Commissioners:

1.The aforementioned recitals are incorporated herein as though fully set forth at length; and

2.The Board hereby orders that, beginning with the Board’s Caucus Meeting scheduled for January 11, 2022, all in-person meetings of this Board be discontinued through February 28, 2022, and that the chambers of this Board be closed to the public during that period; and

3. The Board hereby orders the resumption of remote/virtual meetings beginning with the Board’s Caucus Meeting scheduled for January 11, 2022 and all Board meetings thereafter through February 28, 2022; and

4. Resolution 368-6-2021 is hereby rescinded; and

5. A notice of this action shall be published by the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners

CAUCUS MEETING OF THE HUDSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 

SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2022, 4:30 PM, TO BE HELD 

VIA THE ZOOM VIRTUAL MEETING SERVICE

 In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq., due to the State of Emergency regarding COVID-19, the Caucus Meeting of the Hudson County Board of County Commissioners scheduled for Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 4:30 pm will be conducted via the Zoom virtual meeting service.  The Commissioners’ Chamber located at 567 Pavonia Avenue, 1st Floor, Jersey City, will be closed to the public.

“Zoom Cloud Meetings” is the name of the app.  Please download the app on a computer or mobile device and use the following Meeting ID: 880 0670 3484.  Alternatively, members of the public can visit the following link and join via Video Conference:  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88006703484. REGULAR MEETING OF THE HUDSON COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 

SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2022, 4:30 PM, TO BE HELD 

VIA THE ZOOM VIRTUAL MEETING SERVICE

In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq., due to the State of Emergency regarding COVID-19, the Regular Meeting of the Hudson County Board of County Commissioners scheduled for Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 4:30 pm will be conducted via the Zoom virtual meeting service at the scheduled date and time.  The  Commissioners’ Chamber located at 567 Pavonia Avenue, 1st Floor, Jersey City, will be closed to the public.

Video functionality will only be turned on for County Commissioners and for County officials and staff as needed.  If you are a member of the public and wish to participate in the public portions of the meeting, you must follow the following instructions to join the virtual meeting via Zoom Audio:

1. Join the meeting using Zoom Audio. Participants can “raise their hand” with an icon.

2. All microphones of public speakers will be muted except during the public portions of the meeting. When you hear your name announced during the public portions of the meeting, you may address the Commissioners.  After a speaker’s time expires, that individual’s microphone will be muted to allow other speakers the opportunity to address the

Members of the public who wish to address the Board of County Commissioners at this Regular Meeting on any subject matter not on the meeting agenda must submit a written request to do so to the Clerk of the Board by electronic mail, asantos@hcnj.us, or by U.S. Mail to Alberto Santos, 567 Pavonia Avenue, 1st Fl., Jersey City, NJ 07306, which request must be received by the later of (1) the end of the immediately preceding Caucus Meeting of the Board or (2) 5:00 p.m. on the business day immediately preceding the Regular Meeting of the Board.

Members of the public may also submit written comments to the Clerk of the Board by electronic mail or by U.S. Mail, to the addresses noted above. Written comments must be received at least one hour prior to the scheduled start of the Regular Meeting of the board.
