Hudson County<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 The Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders accepted $184,800 from the New Jersey Department of Labor Workforce Development and Economic Opportunity Fund to support the Hudson County Summer Youth Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal of the Summer Youth Employment Program is to provide In-school and Out of School youth and young adults ages 16-24 with valuable paid internships.  This will help them to successfully transition to the world of work.  They will receive readiness training in topics such as: soft skills training, financial literacy, resume building, entrepreneurship skills, diversity training and prevention of workplace harassment training.  This will provide exposure to different careers and opportunity to gain hands on work experience, earn a paycheck, prepare for a future career, interact with employers, learn about community resources and receive supportive services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders along with Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise applaud this valuable internship program that is designed to assist the youths of Hudson County to obtain the skills necessary to transition to the world of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
