Hudson County<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 The Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders approved additional funds from the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development to Temporary Assistance for the Needy Families (TANF) and Initiative for Parents Program (TIPS) for Hudson County residents totaling $351,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The funds will be utilized to provide academic remediation, vocational training, employment referral, and supportive services that assist clients in securing employment and or becoming self-sufficient.   These services are being provided to Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) and Initiative for Parents Program (TIPS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seven vendors who are receiving the additional funds are: American Technology Training Institute, Bright Horizon Institute, Computer Professional Learning Center, Dux Education, National Career Institute and Pro Data, Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The State Department of Labor and WorkForce Development for WorkFirst New Jersey (WFNJ) clients grant is for the present period and ending September 30, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders are committed to providing the necessary resources needed to assist county residents in acquiring educational training in order for them to obtain gainful employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
