The Skyway Golf Course is located at 515 Duncan Avenue, Jersey City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The County of Hudson is committed to fostering increased adoption of electric vehicles and needed infrastructure in order to reduce global warming pollution and improve air quality in the County, the state, and nationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cIt Pays to Plug In: Electric Vehicles Charging Station Project\u201d grant program also offers an opportunity to install two DC fast charging stations for electric vehicles at Hudson County Plaza\u2019s public parking lot.&nbsp; It is within one mile of a major travel corridor, (Interstate I-78), as listed on New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection\u2019s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Strategic Map that would service local and long distance travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Electrify New Jersey, in partnership with Jersey Renews, a state coalition promoting the transition to clean, renewable energy in New Jersey, and ChargEVC, and diverse electric vehicle coalition, have developed a comprehensive framework to serve as a roadmap for creating a sustainable and growing EV market in New Jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Electrify New Jersey roadmap includes recommended goals and policy actions designed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Expand public charging infrastructure;<\/li><li>Foster greater affordability of EVs to increase adoption;<\/li><li>Ensure sufficient private charging infrastructure;<\/li><li>Ensure electrification solutions to reach all communities equitably;<\/li><li>Ensure long term funding for the transportation trust fund;<\/li><li>Build consumer awareness;<\/li><li>Support market development efforts<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Electrifying the state\u2019s transportation system is one of the top priorities stated in the Jan. 1, 2018 recommendations of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy\u2019s Environment and Energy Transition Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The widespread adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs) will bring significant economic benefit, including lower electricity rates by recreating a more resilient and responsive electric grid and reduced vehicle operating costs, and substantial emission reductions that result in cleaner air for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the members of the Board of Freeholders supports the implementation of New Jersey\u2019s Clean Car standards, the ability of states that adopt Clean Car standards to have stronger safeguards to protect the health of New Jerseyans above and beyond federal standards, and in opposition to efforts at the federal level by the current administration or Congress to weaken these standards or usurp local control to protect the state\u2019s residents from air pollution from the transportation sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Release #105<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hudson County\u2013 The Hudson County Board of Freeholders authorized funds from the \u201cIt Pays to Plug In: Electric Vehicles Charging Station Project,\u201d to cover the cost for the installation of [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_et_pb_use_builder":"off","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[8],"tags":[],"post_folder":[],"class_list":["post-1751","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-2020-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.8 (Yoast SEO v27.0) -
