Jersey City-<\/strong>The Hudson County Board of Freeholders approved accepting a $1,032,989 grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Work Force Development for COVID-19 Dislocated Worker Grant New Jersey Endures Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hudson County Community College, Jersey City Employment and Training Program, the Career Development Center of the Hudson County Schools of Technology, International Communication Solutions, Workforce Advantage and both the Hudson County and Jersey City Workforce Development Boards have a shared services agreement to provide individuals continued or enhance their employability through basic education skills training and job search\/readiness services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main purpose for this funding is to address the training needs of individuals suffering job loss or substantially reduced hours due to the employment impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grant is for fiscal year September 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hudson County Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Chosen Freeholders are committed in their resolve in providing the necessary training resources needed to assist county residents in obtaining proper training and maintaining gainful employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
