Social Services for the Homeless (SSH)

Social Services for the Homeless (SSH) funding is provided through the State of New Jersey to assist homeless and at risk families and individuals who are ineligible for other Emergency Assistance programs. Services include:

  • Emergency Food
  • Emergency Shelter
  • Homelessness Prevention
  • Case Management

Funds allocated to Hudson County are distributed through a Request for Proposals and approved, by resolution by the Hudson County Commissioners. Below is a list of current non-profits that receive SSH funding and the services they can assist with.
