Hudson County Office of Business Opportunity (HCOBO) is a valuable resource and support center dedicated to assisting Hudson County’s small businesses — especially minority, woman, and veteran-owned businesses to thrive and prosper.
Hudson County Office of Business Opportunity (HCOBO) provides information on and linkages to business opportunities from local, state and federal entities. HCOBO is your primary connection to Hudson County’s 10% Set-Aside for County goods and services contracts, and business opportunities information from our network of government, private and non-profit partners. Furthermore, HCOBO advises businesses on the how-to’s of becoming certified.

State Programs
SMALL BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT GRANT LIST
This grant supports businesses and nonprofits by reimbursement of costs associated with capital improvements or purchasing and/or installation of new furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Project costs must be at least $5,000, and incurred on or after March 9, 2020, but no more than 2 years prior to the application date. The maximum grant award is not to exceed $50,000. Total project costs that exceed $50,000 will be subject to Green Building Standards for lighting and/or mechanical work, and applicants that use more than 4 contractors may be subject to Affirmative Action requirements. Applicants are limited to one application per federal Employer Identification Number (EIN).
