Jersey City-The Hudson County Board of Freeholders accepted an additional $67,619 from the Municipal Alliance Allocation Grant from the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.

The original funding was utilized to help Hudson County municipalities address the issues surrounding alcoholism and drug abuse in their communities.  Each community is aware that in order for them to receive these funds, they must provide a 100% match, 25% cash match and a 75% in kind match.

The grant was extended three months until September 30, 2020.

These funds will be used to cover Municipal Alliance Coordination and County Administration.

Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Freeholders are committed to providing the necessary resources to educate and prevent alcoholism and drug abuse that may affect residents of Hudson County.
