Jersey City-The Hudson County Board of Freeholders accepted funds from the New Jersey Law and Public Safety Division of Criminal Justice Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and Victim Assistance Grant Program for $454,563.
The Prosecutor’s Office Crime Victim/Witness Advocacy Program provides a broad range of services, which includes notification, transportation arrangements and assistance with recovered property. It also provides crime victims with case information and referral assistance to hospitals, clinics and social services agencies.
The grant period started July 1, 2020 and will run through June 30, 2021.
Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Chosen Freeholders are committed to providing the necessary resources necessary to ensure crime victims feel safe in Hudson County.
