Jersey City-The Hudson County Board of Freeholders approve $75,000 to Guazabara Insights for Teaching Community Reintegration Program Philosophy at the Hudson County Adult Correctional Center in Kearny.
The program provides for continue education, raising social consciousness and uplifting communities through teaching modules designed for incarcerated male and female on the value of family, community responsibility and self-sustainability.
Through the use of handout materials, video viewing, workshops and group participation, Guazabara Insights structures the teaching modules to incorporate the Community Reintegration Program Philosophy. Programming will be directed at cultural, physical, self-worth; pride and purpose are established and broken down into sessions. Three programs in the course of 45 weeks will be provided to male and female incarcerated individuals.
The program will run from December 1, 2020 to November 30, 2021.
Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Chosen Freeholders are committed in their resolve in providing the necessary resources needed to prepare inmates for community re-entry.
