The Hudson County Board of Freeholders approved accepting a $92,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Work Force Development of the Workfirst New Jersey Welfare Reform Program.
The purpose of the grant is to provide necessary resources to assist individuals in order to continue or enhance their educational skills, enhance their basic education skills training and job search/readiness services.
The program started July 1, 2019 and will continue to June 30, 2020.
Hudson County Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Chosen Freeholders are committed in providing the necessary educational and training resources needed to assist county residents with their education and in obtaining and maintaining gainful employment.
