Jersey City-The Hudson County Board of Freeholders approved the application and acceptance of funds, if awarded, from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Community Development Block Grant totaling $2,183,783.
The funds will be allocated as follows: Legal Services, $1,116,000, Food Assistance Program, $958,593.85, Administrative Costs, $109,189.15.
The County of Hudson will inquire with municipalities, community organizations and citizens to determine needs and develop eligible projects in areas such as: Building and Improvements, Public Facilities, Public Services, Assistance to Businesses, Special Economic Development, or other pandemic related activities.
Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Hudson County Board of Freeholders are committed to addressing and providing the necessary resources to municipalities, community organizations and residents in need of assistance during this pandemic.
