Jersey City-The Hudson County Board of Freeholders approved the County of Hudson to accept $50,000 grant from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, Pedestrian Safety Grant Program for fiscal year 2021.

The purpose of the grant is to provide and improve pedestrian safety education and enforcement throughout Hudson County.

The grant will be for the period of October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021.

Hudson County Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Chosen Freeholders are committed to providing the necessary educational resources needed to inform county residents of the importance of keeping pedestrians safe.
