Jersey City-The Hudson County Board of Freeholders approved the County of Hudson to apply for and accept a $67,280 grant, if awarded, from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety for the 2021 Hudson County Safe Communities Project which will be administered by the Jersey City Medical Center Barnabas Health.

The purpose of the grant is to partner with other agencies to support the development of injury prevention programs and services leading to a reduction in injuries and deaths resulting from motor vehicle and bicycle accidents.

Hudson County Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Chosen Freeholders are committed in their resolve in providing the necessary educational resources needed to inform county residents of injury prevention programs and the importance of keeping safe.
