Jersey City-The Hudson County Board of Freeholders approved the County of Hudson to reallocate $85,269.11 the Hudson County Homelessness Trust Fund to provide various programs and services to homeless in Hudson County.
In 2015, nine hundred seventeen (917) people were counted as homeless. The County of Hudson developed a 10 year plan to end homelessness.
The purpose of the program is to provide services that include medical care, essential support services, shelter, food, homeless prevention, case management and social services programs for the homeless in Hudson County.
Chairman Anthony Vainieri, the Board of Chosen Freeholders and the County of Hudson are committed to providing the necessary support and social services to assist the homeless of Hudson County.
