The Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders approved additional funds from the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development for Workfirst New Jersey Services for Hudson County residents totaling $255,000.

The funds will be utilized to provide basic education skills, employment, job search and readiness services that assist clients in securing employment and or becoming self-sufficient. These services are being provided to Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) and General Assistance (GA).

The State Department of Labor and WorkForce Development for WorkFirst New Jersey (WFNJ) clients grant is for a period ending July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.

Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders are committed to providing the necessary resources needed to assist county residents prepare to enter the job market.
