Jersey City-The Hudson County Board of Freeholders approved accepting a $2,332,062 grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Work Force Development of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult and Dislocated Worker.

The purpose of the grant is to provide Supportive Assistance to individuals in order to continue or enhance their employability through basic education skills training and job search/readiness services.

The grant will be allocated as follows: adult program-$1,233,999 dislocated worker-$1,098,063.

The grant is for fiscal year July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.

Hudson County Freeholder Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Chosen Freeholders are committed in their resolve in providing the necessary training resources needed to assist county residents in obtaining and maintaining gainful employment.
