Jersey City-The Hudson County Board of Freeholders accepts $ 184,800 in grant funding from the New Jersey Department of Labor Workforce Development for Summer Youth Employment Program.
The term for this grant is from May 1, 2020 to October 30, 2020.
The purpose of this grant fund is to assist the Summer Youth Employment Program with In-school and Out of school youth and young adults ages 16 through 24 with valuable internships. This will help them to successfully transition to the world of work.
Chairman Anthony Vainieri and the Board of Chosen Freeholders are committed to providing the necessary resources for work based learning. This is an instructional strategy that prepares youth for post-secondary learning and workplace skills.
