HUDSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE CRAIG GUY ANNOUNCES REPAIRS TO WILLOW AVENUE BRIDGE

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Today, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy released the following statement announcing repairs to Willow Avenue Bridge in Weehawken:

“As County Executive, I am focused on improving the safety and infrastructure of our roads. To that end, several of the joints on the Willow Ave. Bridge in Weehawken are in severe disrepair. Currently, they may cause a hazard to motorists and bicyclists with loose concrete and exposed reinforcing bars.
To help alleviate these issues, Hudson County has contracted Sparkwick Contracting Inc. to repair these joints on the Willow Ave. Bridge. Crews will be on site starting Tuesday, October 1; work should last about a week, weather permitting. The work will be done daily during off-peak hours from 9:30am-3:30pm, with lane shifts maintaining a single lane in each direction at all times.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to upgrade Hudson County’s road infrastructure.”
