JERSEY CITY, NJ — Today, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy released the following statement regarding Coach USA’s July 11th announcement that they would terminate contracts with NJ Transit and stop operating Hudson County bus routes 2, 84, and 88 following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection filing:
“As County Executive, I am very committed to ensuring that Hudson County remains affordable for all our residents; and a key part to this is access to affordable, safe transit options.
“To that point, I am in active communication with NJ Transit officials and staff to ensure our customers will not be impacted by Coach USA’s bankruptcy filing and subsequent cease of operations for bus routes 2, 84, and 88. I commend NJ Transit for working with me on this issue, and I hope to have an update for residents soon.”
