JERSEY CITY, NJ — Today, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy applauded the Board of County Commissioners for voting to pass the 2025 Hudson County Budget during a public hearing. This budget reflects a bond rating of AA for Hudson County and continues to prioritize services and opportunities for Hudson County residents.
“With the passing of this budget, Hudson County will continue to provide the critical services and resources our residents depend on without sacrificing quality and without laying off a single employee,” said Hudson County Executive Craig Guy. “As County Executive, it is my responsibility to ensure we work together to maintain a budget that is fiscally responsible to the taxpayers. I will continue to hold department directors and constitutional officers accountable to ensure they are making financially-sound decisions. Hudson County faces challenges, but I remain excited and optimistic about our county’s direction.”
Hudson County continues to aggressively pursue state and federal grants to serve all Hudson County residents, including seniors and those who are medically needy or homeless. In addition, the budget includes upgrades and construction to Hudson County parks, including ballfields, rain gardens, dog runs, playgrounds, and spray parks. In May, County Executive Guy announced $11.7 million in Open Space Trust Fund award recommendations to upgrades parks and green spaces throughout the County. And the County continues to support educational opportunities through the Hudson County Community College’s Center for Student Success and the development of a Hudson County Schools of Technology vocational school at Bayonne High School.
