Hudson County Executive Craig Guy Signs Executive Order Prohibiting All Non-Essential Vehicular Travel on All Public Roadways, Highways, and Bridges Within Hudson County During the Ongoing Winter Storm

Jersey City, NJ- Today, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy issued an executive order prohibiting all non-essential vehicular travel on all public roadways, highways, and bridges within Hudson County during the ongoing winter storm.

Additionally, all parking on county roads is prohibited to facilitate snow removal. Vehicles parked on emergency snow routes may be towed.

Pursuant to this executive order and other pertinent statutes, any person who violates this order may be subject to fines and law enforcement is authorized to remove abandoned vehicles hindering snow removal efforts.

The travel ban does not apply to essential personnel, including law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services; public works, snowplow operators, and sanitation workers; utility workers performing emergency repairs; healthcare and homecare workers traveling to work; vehicles delivering essential food, fuel, or medical supplies; and news media.
