Hudson County municipalities and nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply Deadline to submit applications is Monday, September 22, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Today, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy launched the application period for both the 2026 Hudson County Local Arts Program (LAP) and the 2026 Hudson County History Partnership Program (HPP). Eligible Hudson County municipalities and non-profit organizations are invited to apply by the application deadline of Monday, September 22nd at 5:00 pm.
“Our rich history and vibrant arts community are what make Hudson County so special and connect us to each other. The LAP and HPP grant programs represent an investment in local nonprofits and municipalities that bring vital, innovative arts and history programming to our residents. I invite nonprofits and municipalities within the County to apply for these important grant programs,” said Hudson County Executive, Craig Guy. “The County’s Local Arts and History Partnership programs provide valuable resources, allowing nonprofits and public entities to continue to provide high quality programming to the residents of our 12 diverse municipalities.”
“The application period for Local Arts Program and Historic Partnership Program grants is now open! Hudson County Nonprofit organizations and all 12 county municipalities are invited to apply for these grants that help expose our residents to the storied history and expansive variety of arts in our community,” said Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs/Tourism Development, Director Gina Hulings. “To learn how to apply for HPP and LAP, please join our LAP webinar on September 2 at 10:00 am and our HPP webinar on September 3 at 10:00 am.”
The Fiscal Year 2026 Hudson County Local Arts Program and History Partnership Program grants are for programs and services that will be presented from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.

LAP and HPP grants are administered by the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs/Tourism Development (HCOCHA/TD), a unit of Hudson County government. The programs are funded by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the New Jersey Historical Commission, and by Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and the Hudson County Board of Commissioners.
The Local Arts Program is administered through HCOCHA/TD, a unit of Hudson County government, by authority of Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and the Hudson County Board of County Commissioners. Hudson County awards competitive matching grants to organizations, based on merit and financial need, which clearly demonstrate their commitment to the arts in the County by producing or sponsoring arts programs and services of high artistic quality and professionalism.
The History Partnership Program (HPP) is administered through HCOCHA/TD, a unit of Hudson County government, by authority of Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and the Hudson County Board of County Commissioners. Hudson County awards competitive matching grants to organizations, based on merit and financial need, which clearly demonstrate their commitment to preserving and promoting the history of Hudson County and its 12 municipalities by producing or sponsoring historical programming of the highest quality and professionalism.
