About the Hudson County Chest Clinic:

The Hudson County Chest Clinic (HCCC) is a regionally designated ambulatory clinic which provides Tuberculosis (TB), control services to residents within the twelve municipalities of Hudson County.  The regional designation allows for the Clinic to accept patient referrals from throughout the State of New Jersey as directed by the New Jersey Department of Health. The overall goal is early detection, intervention and prevention of TB, spread of disease and complications.


Regulatory Requirements:

The HCCC complies with all standards set forth by the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), and the Centers of Disease Control (CDC). Verified cases are reported to the NJDOH- Tuberculosis program promptly and all necessary reportable documentation is completed and forwarded according to standard practice.

All persons diagnosed with confirmed or suspected active pulmonary TB will be placed on Directly Observed Therapy (DOT).  DOT is administered to patients by Chest Clinic personnel Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays.
