Human Resources
The Department of Human Resources, is headed by the Director of Human Resources. This Department is responsible for all Human Resource functions: personnel, health benefits, recruitment and hiring, training and labor relations. The Department ensures that the County complies with all New Jersey Civil Service Commission practices, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) rules and regulations as they affect County employees. Human Resources evaluates and updates employee policies and procedures as needed.
The department is responsible for overseeing all Labor Relations functions, for non-union employees as well as the for the sixteen (16) recognized collective bargaining united representing County employees. The department provides guidance and assistance to all County departments and constitutional offices.

Division of Human Resources
The Division is responsible for the coordination of the County’s employee medical services including, but not limited to, employee physicals, fitness-for-duty exams, medical, dental, and prescription plans, employee assistance programs, and optional employee benefit plans. The processing and recording of all Civil Service transactions are conducted by the division for all County departments and Constitutional Offices.
