Hudson County Mental Health Board:
The Hudson County Mental Health Board is responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring the mental health system of care in Hudson County by making recommendations to the State Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The meetings are open to the public and the Board meets ten times per year on the third Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm.
Local Advisory Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse:
The Hudson County Local Advisory Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse is organized in accordance with P.L. 1989 Chapter 51. The role of the L.A.C.A.D.A is to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship between public and private alcoholism and drug abuse service providers and consumers, New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services and other governmental agencies in identifying local alcoholism and drug service needs and priorities, defining the nature of local service systems and recommending allocation of resources. The committee meets bi-monthly on the third Thursday of the month at 10:00 am.
Professional Advisory Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse:
The Hudson County Professional Advisory Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse is a subcommittee of the Hudson County Local Advisory Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, comprised of a balanced representation of alcohol and drug abuse services providers to include persons in recovery, service professionals and representatives from various socio-economic and ethnic groups reflective of Hudson County. The purpose of P.A.C.A.D.A. is to have a forum for information sharing on best practices and issues that influence the service delivery system to include drug abuse prevention and treatment services. The committee meets bi-monthly on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm and is open to the public.
