About the Division of Planning
The Hudson County Division of Planning provides information and recommendations for the orderly and proper development of the County. The Division provides staff support and technical assistance to the Hudson County Planning Board, the Hudson County Open Space Trust Fund Advisory Board and the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy “CEDS” Committee.
Vision Zero
The Federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) established the Safe Streets & Roads for All (SS4A) discretionary grant program. SS4A will provide funding for Hudson County to develop and implement a Vision Zero Safety Action Plan with the aim to make roadways safer and improve communities.
Hudson County 2050 Comprehensive Plan
The Hudson County l Vision for the Future 2050 Comprehensive Plan, managed by the Division of Planning, serves as the County’s guide for smart long-term growth to communicate our shared vision and goals on where and how the county can progress. The Plan ultimately provides a planning to implementation roadmap for development and preservation, in Hudson County.
Hackensack River Greenway Plan
The Hackensack River Greenway Plan is a series of existing, planned, and proposed Trailways identifying resources and constraints along the Hackensack River. Staff from the Hudson County Division of Planning met with stakeholders including non-profit and municipal representatives.
Clean Hudson
As an integral initiative of the Environmental Justice (EJ) program, we are eager to introduce Clean Hudson, a multifaceted collaborative effort between a non-profit entity, esteemed higher education institution, and local government agencies.
